Clevis Hanger Clamp

Application:

Clevis hangers are pipe supports designed to secure hanging or elevated pipe runs.
If you need to suspend piping from elevated beams or the ceiling, clevis hangers
provide a reliable solution. They allow sizeable loads to be supported and provide
adjustment depending upon the pipe diameter. The lower nut adjusts the piping to
the proper elevation, while the upper nut, when locked into position, prevents
loosening due to vibration.

Construction:

Generally, clevis hangers consist of a yoke and a support strap made from shaped
mild steel strip and a joining bolt. A 15 percent swing in either direction allows
the pipe to easily feed through. It also has a metallic loop to cradle the pipe.
This cradle leaves room for vertical adjustment and securely supports the pipe
in the air. The design prevents the pipe from pinching during installation.
Engineering design aligns bolt holes for quicker installation.
